Week 8 Glass Apprentice Challenge Sculptural Not round, not pressed. For this challenge it is a piece that can be built on a mandrel or made offhand that has parts that must be formed into specific shape through the manipulation of the glass. Bead types that would be acceptable for this challenge would be vessels, goddess forms, flowers that have petals that are 3 dimensional. I chose to work off-mandrel, with the sculpture formed straight from the glass rods. It was much more of a challenge this way. There were two forms that I explored. Feathers and Calla Lilies.
